Andrew Eschman, MPAS, PA-C, CAQ-EM is a compassionate medical professional, dedicated leader, and community servant whose commitment to advancing healthcare and empowering others makes him a standout among young professionals. As a Physician Assistant with ONE Health Ohio, Andrew helps support the organization’s FIT program, a comprehensive weight management initiative focused on medication-assisted treatment, dietary guidance, and behavioral health. Under the guidance and direction of ONE Health Ohio’s executive medical leadership, Andrew plays a valuable role in delivering care and contributing to patient outcomes throughout the Mahoning Valley.
Andrew’s healthcare journey began in service. He started as a firefighter and EMT with the Johnston Fire Department, where he gained early, hands-on experience responding to crises and helping people through life’s most vulnerable moments. That passion for meaningful care led him to Gannon University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science, and later earned a Master of Physician Assistant Science with a 3.89 GPA.
With over seven years of experience in diverse medical environments — from urgent care centers to emergency departments at the Cleveland Clinic — Andrew has treated patients across a wide range of acuity levels. He became one of the few Physician Assistants credentialed to independently perform and interpret point-of-care ultrasounds, and his clinical competencies include trauma management, airway procedures, wound care, and advanced diagnostics.
Now working with ONE Health Ohio, a respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Andrew provides both primary care and support within the FIT program. He helps implement care plans, track progress, and contribute to clinical reporting alongside a multidisciplinary team. For his consistent and competent contributions, Andrew received the organization’s Bright Beginnings Award in 2024 — recognizing his commitment to quality and collaborative care.
Outside the clinic, Andrew is a steadfast advocate for community service. He is an active member of his church, where he supports local outreach initiatives, and he regularly mentors aspiring Physician Assistant students, providing guidance and insight drawn from his professional journey. His commitment to service and mentorship earned him the Patriot Award from the Office of the Secretary of Defense, highlighting his support of military personnel and their families.
Andrew holds multiple certifications, including a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Emergency Medicine, Advanced Wilderness Life Support, and a wide array of life support credentials. He remains active in national and state professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants.
Andrew Eschman is a talented and humble medical professional whose work ethic, clinical excellence, and passion for mentorship are helping shape a stronger, healthier future. He exemplifies the values of service, growth, and compassion that define the 25 Under 35 Award, and continues to impact lives one patient, one colleague, and one community at a time.

Andrew,
Kudos to you my brother.
We worked together at Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg emergency department. You are the reason I am now in school to become a physician’s assistant. You were patient as a colleague, team player, knowledgeable and you are a leader among leaders. This is an outstanding award and accomplishment. My prayers is that you continue to soar and shoot for the stars, while creating a pathway for future PA’s to follow.
God bless you,
Joshua D. Thompson
